Restaurant staff is attentive, chef’s food is excellent. Be prepared to walk away with a full stomach!
Beautiful interiors, glass floor revealing ruins from Roman Empire era. That’s pretty much everything good I will say. Dinner for my wife’s birthday started really bad. Waiter just throw menus on the table while passing by, so rude. We ordered starters, but shortly after they were delivered we decided to cancel our mains. Food was super blunt, no flavours and poorly presented: No questions were asked while full plates with starters were collected from our table.
DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME, there is plenty of fantastic restaurants near by.
Overall a good restaurant in terms of quality of food and location/atmosphere (although they could improve on background music, there wasn't any...).
What I didn't appreciate was the fact that I felt like the waiter was trying hard to extract as much as possible from us.
I only checked the bill later and found at least a couple of line items that were ridiculously overpriced. Lesson learnt: never trust a smiling waiter and always double check the price.
It's a high end restaurant, good historical place.good wine and foods.services are excellent!
But, only hot as we seated in the higher floor which Short of ventilators.
It's perfect for dinner as it's an open space.
I will start with the positives: my main dish (black cob fillet) was delicious!
And now the negatives:
-the toilet was extremely dirty which is unacceptable for a such a restaurant.
- there was no music which would help create a beautiful atmosphere.
- the staff brought the bread without butter/olive oil, salt and pepper. We had to ask for it. Usually in such restaurants, these items come as soon as you sit down.
- the carbonara was not up to our expectation and it was not served with spaggetti.
- the terrace looks much nicer in the photos in comparison to reality.
All in all, a disappointing experience considering our expectations from the instagram and the website if the restaurant.
